Refusals

Refusals and reconsiderations

A refusal isn’t the end of the road — but reapplying without fixing the root cause often repeats the outcome. These reviews help you rebuild a stronger file. We recommend a refusal review of your GCMS notes and evidence before you reapply.

A refusal review is more than a checklist. Book a refusal review so we can read your GCMS notes and assess your options.

Document prep

How to prepare your documents

Clean, well-organized documents are easier for an officer to review — and reduce the chance of delays or requests for more information.

  • Scan documents clearly in colour.
  • Do not crop passport stamps or visa pages.
  • Combine related documents logically.
  • Translate documents not in English or French.
  • Use certified translations where required.
  • Avoid blurry phone photos.
  • Use clear, consistent file names.
  • Keep bank statements and employment letters complete.

Need help reviewing your documents?

Document checklists are a helpful starting point, but every immigration application depends on your personal history, immigration status, purpose of application, finances, family situation, and previous refusals. Book a consultation with CHK Immigration Services Inc. before submitting if you want your documents reviewed properly.

General information only, not legal advice. Document requirements and dollar amounts change β€” always confirm the current list and financial thresholds on canada.ca before filing. For advice on your situation, book a consultation.
